My name is Miss Corso, and I am an 8th grade teacher at St. Joseph School. 2012-2013 is my first school year at St. Joseph, and I love it here!

Before St. Joseph I worked at Willowbrook High School as an aide for a year, and then at Addison Trail High School as an English teacher for three years. I also spent a year working for a business in downtown Chicago.
I am a graduate of St. Pius X School in Lombard. I went to Willowbrook High School in Villa Park and then Elmhurst College in Elmhurst. I earned my degree in English studies and secondary education. This past summer I also took classes at Lewis University to get my special education endorsement.
When I'm not teaching, I love to read a good book! I'm always looking for something new to read, but the Harry Potter books are my favorite by far.
I have also gotten into long distance running during the past few years. I ran a marathon at Disney World in 2010, and I would love to run another one some time soon. I also run the Soldier Field 10 Mile Race every year. You can see me any day of the week running down the Prairie Path!

I have also always loved to dance. I was on my high school and college dance teams, and I coached the dance team at Willowbrook High School for four years. I still like to stop by my old dance studio and take ballet classes from time to time!

When I'm at home I like to hang out with my dogs, Jack and Kira. Jack is a six year old bichon frise, and Kira is a two year old black lab. They love to take long walks, and they love to cuddle even more! They're the best reading buddies. Sometimes they like to help me grade homework too.

I have two younger brothers, Joey and Danny.
I've tried to play every sport imaginable. I ended up sticking with dance.
My favorite color is blue.
My favorite animals are elephants.
My favorite movie is that That Thing You Do. (Forrest Gump is a close second.)
My favorite food is anything made out of chocolate.
My favorite sport to watch is hockey...and my favorite team is, of course, the Blackhawks!
