THANK YOU!!!

I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to all of my amazing students (and your amazing parents) for making my birthday so very special. I appreciate all of the decorations, gifts, treats, and kind letters I received. I have never had such a special birthday like this one!

Buddies Christmas Party

On Monday at 1:30 pm the 8th grade will visit the 1stgrade to have a Christmas get together with them.
We would like each 8th grader to bring a candy cane, candy bar, or some other small edible treat for the buddies to share on this day.
Please do not bring any extra gifts such as stuffed animals or gift cards, because we do not want some buddies feeling left out if they do not get extra treats.
If you have any questions, please ask Miss Corso.

6th Grade Book Reports - Quarter 2

The due dates for quarter two book reports are:
·         #1: Friday, November 16
·         #2: Friday, November 30
·         #3: Thursday, December 20
·         #4: Monday, January 14

For your second book report, you will write a review of your book. These reviews should be TWO paragraphs. The first paragraph should be about what you liked or didn’t like in the book. Be specific! What characters, plot twists, settings, etc. caused you to like or not like the book? Make sure to use plenty of details. In the second paragraph, explain who would like this book. Who do you recommend it to? Boys? Girls? Both? Children? Adults? Again, be specific! Finally, give your book a ranking out of five stars, five being the best, 1 being the worst.

Paragraph One = What you liked, didn’t like. “I really like this book because the characters seemed so realistic.”

Paragraph Two = Who you recommend it to. “I would recommend this to 6th grade girls because they would probably like it more than boys.

Rank = **** I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it was almost perfect.
